Mount Rainier
That's it , we have done it!!!
After a few days waiting in the rain, we finally decided to go up to Mount Rainier base camp. It was our last chance, we could not wait any longer.
We started walking in the fog. We could not see anything. After about 6 hours hiking, we finally arrived at camp Muir where we set up our tent and waited for midnight. At midnight, the weather was clear !!! Incredible, we couldn't believe it. Let's go !!! This is our chance to summit.
The ascent was long and tiring - it took us about 11 hours to summit and comeback - but we were so lucky! We had magnificent views, we were higher than the clouds and the bad weather. We felt like being on the top of the world. It was an incredible experience and all those efforts and waiting days were definitely worth it. We also met very nice people including Dave, his son and Rich. Dave, if you read this message, thanks again for the gas ;0)

We are now in Portland (Oregon) relaxing and drinking well deserved beers at an International beer festival. Our Next stop will be Smith Rocks, a 3 hours drive south east from Portland
